On November 12, 2014, Darkwa was signed by the New York Giants after Michael Cox was placed on injured reserve. He scored his second career touchdown on December 21, 2014 against the St. Louis Rams.
In his rookie season Darkwa split time between the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins playing in 11 games. Against the Rams that day, he also had four carries for 21 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown, and caught two passes for 17 yards.
Darkwa was one of the few rays of production for the Giants’ offense in the 2015 preseason opener against the Bengals. He ran for 52 yards on nine carries, accounting for nearly half of the 106 rushing yards the team had on just about one-third of their 24 carries. He had a 20-yard run and a 1-yard touchdown dive and, perhaps more importantly, looked assured picking up blitzes.
The featured orange Miami Dolphins nike 3xl shorts were worn by Darkwa in practice as a member of the Dolphins. The talented running back has signed the shorts twice in black. There was a “Miami Dolphins″ label in the waist which feel off. One lace features Miami Dolphins and the shorts show good wear with a few marks on the back.
