Description
Brian Blechen is a free agent strong safety most recently playing for the Carolina Panthers of the NFL. Blechen was signed by the Panthers on May 4th, 2015 as an undrafted free agent shortly after the 2015 NFL Draft. The talented defender played his college football for the Utah Utes.
Blechen signed with the Utes as a quarterback prospect but was switched to defense shortly after arriving on campus and wowed coaches by running away with the starting strong safety role during first fall camp. Other than missing the 2013 season with a knee tendinitis, Blechen remained the starter in this role virtually the rest of his career, starting all 48 games of his collegiate career.
His impressive arrival on the scene helped Blechen earn Freshman All-American honors while the Utes played in the Mountain West Conference in 2010 and he also earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 accolades each of the past three years since, leaving Utah with 264 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 18 passes broken up, nine interceptions and seven forced fumbles – which is tied for the third most in school history.
The featured under armour gloves were game worn by Brian Blechen as a member of the Utah Utes. The safety has signed both gloves and added “Game Worn” in silver. The signatures have slightly smudged. (please see images) The gloves show good use!!!
