Description
Cade Bunnell is an infielder in the Atlanta Braves organization. He was selected by the Atlanta Braves (40th Round, Pick 1207) in the 2019 MLB Draft. He was a Four-year participant and three-year letter winner in baseball at Stoughton High School for head coach Jeremy Dunnihoo. Bunnell earned first team all-conference (Badger South) as a junior and senior and helped the Vikings to back-to-back conference titles and a WIAA state baseball appearance. He played college baseball for the Kansas State Wildcats as a freshman before transferring to Madison Junior College his sophomore season. After one season there, he transferred to Indiana in his junior year and played 2 seasons for the Hoosiers.
In 2016 at Kansas State University, Bunnell played in 43 games and made 16 starts for the Wildcats. He batted .227 with 17 hits in 75 at-bats with eight runs scored and four RBI’s. He also provided the game-winning hit as a pinch hitter against Texas (4/10). Bunnell started in eight of the Wildcats final 13 games.
In his sophomore year, he transferred to Madison Junior College where he appeared in 40 games, making 37 starts, playing primarily second base. He hit .291 and led the team with 8 Home Runs. He also drove in 37 runs and stole seven bases.
In his junior season, he transferred once again and attended Indiana University. Bunnell appeared in 12 games for the Hoosiers, starting three at second base and made his first appearance in an IU uniform against Kansas State on February 17th, 2018 recording an RBI. He also recorded a pinch-hit single in a home victory against Butler (3/30).
In his senior year, Bunnell appeared in 29 games, making eight starts, seven at second base and one at first base. Bunnell hit his first career home run in an IU uniform at Tennessee (2/24). He also hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning to give the Hoosiers a midweek win over Purdue on April 10th, 2019. The talented hitter reached base three times (two walks, one hit), drove in a run and scored against Louisville (6/2) in the NCAA Tournament.
In 2022, Bunnell appeared in 43 games with the Mississippi Braves and dominated hitting .301 with 8 Home Runs and 32 RBIs for a .989 OPS!!! He also was a walk machine with 31 free passes for a .421 OBP. With production like this, he could definitely get a shot at cracking the Atlanta Braves Roster in 2023!

Bunnell played in 26 Games with the Gulf Coast League Braves in his 1st season in professional ball. The Gulf Coast League Braves were the Rookie-level affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, competing in the Florida Complex League of Minor League Baseball. After 2021, the team became known as the FCL Braves.(Florida Complex League Braves). The team plays at CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida. The talented infielder has signed the Gloves and added “Game Worn” in black. The left signature has slightly smudged and is faint. (Please see Images).
