Cameron Lawrence is a former linebacker and special teams star for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He played college football at Mississippi State. On April 28, 2013, Lawrence signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. Lawrence was among the Cowboys’ final cuts in training camp and spent the first five weeks on the practice squad.
At Magnolia Springs High School, Lawrence was an all-state pick at linebacker as a senior, in addition to his quarterback duties. In college at Mississippi State, Lawrence played all 12 games as a true freshman despite his slight build, making 14 tackles, mostly on special teams. He played 11 games as a reserve linebacker in 2010 (34 tackles , 2.5 for loss) before finally getting his chance to start as a junior. He led the Bulldogs with 123 tackles, six for loss, while forcing two fumbles, intercepting two passes and breaking up five others.
Lawrence was selected to Second Team All-Southeastern Conference (Media selection) for the 2012 college football season. The Coldwater, Miss., native tied for third in the SEC with 111 tackles, becoming the first MSU player since 1994-95 with 100-plus tackles in back-to-back season. The senior team captain was at his best vs. AP Top-25 teams, where he finished third nationally with 13.0 tackles per game.
Lawrence recorded 10 tackles in 11 games in his rookie season with the Cowboys. The 6’2″, 230-pound rising star has a nose for the football, doesn’t shy away from contact and is a leader on the football field. In 2014, Lawrence registered 4 special teams tackles (tied for ninth on the team), 11 defensive tackles and a sack.
The featured blue and white nike vapor jet gloves were game worn by Cameron Lawrence as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. The linebacker has signed the gloves in silver and added ‘Game Worn” in black to the left one. One glove has Lawrence’s old #48 and the other one has his most recent #53 written in black on inside of each wristband. The gloves show good use!!
