Description
Devon Cajuste is a wide receiver/tight end for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. The talented wide receiver was signed by the San Francisco 49ers shortly after the 2016 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent. Cajuste has also been a member of the Green Bay Packers. Cajuste played college football for the Stanford Cardinal.
Cajuste graduated from Holy Cross High School in Queens, NY and played for head coach Tom Pugh where he earned three varsity letters. The talented receiver caught 40 catches for 921 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. His tremendous season was rewarded by being named all-state, all-city and all-league honors. As a senior, Cajuste led the league in receptions (47), yards (864) and touchdowns (9). He was named all-state, all-league, all-city, all-New York Post and all-Daily News. For his efforts, he was invited to five postseason bowls.
Towering at 6-foot-4 and 227 pounds, Cajuste was a big downfield target in the Stanford Cardinal offense for three straight productive seasons in college. A stretch that amassed him 89 receptions for 1,582 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, not to mention a 17.77 yards per catch average that highlights his ability to make big plays in the passing game. His best game came as a senior with a five-catch, 125-yard game in Stanford’s huge win over Notre Dame.
At the 2016 NFL Combine, Devon Cajuste posted the best time of all wide receivers in the 3-cone drill 6.49. It’s the fifth-best mark a wide receiver has posted at the combine in a decade, and even more impressive considering Cajuste’s size. The 3-cone drill is a quickness test that generally favors shorter, agile receivers. The fact that a tall target like Cajuste moves like that in the drill shows he has a unique level of quickness. The sky is the limit for this talented receiver!
The featured black and gray Rose Bowl nike large shorts were issued to Devon Cajuste as a member of the Stanford Cardinal for the 2016 Rose Bowl. The 2016 Rose Bowl was a college football bowl game that was played on January 1, 2016 at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, California. This 102nd Rose Bowl Game matched the Big Ten Conference West Division champion Iowa Hawkeyes against the Pac-12 Conference champion Stanford Cardinal. The first time Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey touched the ball in the 102nd Rose Bowl, he took it 75 yards for a spectacular touchdown. A few hundred yards later, Stanford’s sophomore star had smashed the oldest bowl game’s record for all-purpose yards while leading the Cardinal to a blowout win over Iowa 45-16. Cajuste has signed the back of the shorts and added “Rose Bowl Champs!” & “Training Worn” in black. Sweet!
