Jeron Mastrud is a former NFL tight end. He was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Kansas State. He has also been a member of the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears.
Mastrud attended Southridge High School in Beaverton, Oregon, where he played football as a tight end, quarterback, and defensive end. As a senior, he completed 49 of 82 pass attempts for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns. He earned first-team All-Portland Metro League honors as a defensive end, and as a tight end was second-team all-league. He was also named to the third-team all-state as a defensive end.
Mastrud starred at Kansas State where he was known for his blocking and providing a large target in the red zone. As a freshman he started nine games and caught 17 passes for 235 yards, but more importantly he helped pave the way for a decent ground game. As a sophomore Mastrud continued to improve his blocking and pass catching skills. On the season he caught 30 passes for 316 yards.
In 2008 Mastrud ended the season catching 38 passes for 435 yards and two scores. In 2009, the tight end caught 21 catches for 233 yards and a touchdown and was named to First Team All-Big 12 Honors. Mastrud is unselfish, classy and has a service oriented approach to game and life. He is a much better pass catcher than his numbers indicate and he is a fine blocker.
The featured size 14 black and white Nike Speed Cleats were game worn by Jeron Mastrud as a member of the Miami Dolphins when they faced the Baltimore Ravens on November 7th, 2010. The Ravens won 26-10 behind Billy Cundiff’s four field goals and suffocating defense which blanked the Dolphins in the second half. Mastrud has signed both Cleats and added “Game Worn vs. Ravens” to the right cleat in silver. There is some slight yellowing towards the heel of each cleat. The Cleats do not show any evident use. The Cleats were obtained directly from Jeron Mastrud!!!!
