Description
Justin Currie is a safety and linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Western Michigan and was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2015. Currie has also been a member of the Cleveland Browns.
Currie finished with 339 tackles in his Western Michigan college career. He played in 47 games with 37 starts. The hard-hitting safety recorded five interceptions, 14 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. As a senior in 2014, Justin Currie started in 13 games and led the Broncos in both total (105) and solo tackles (69). He also was a defensive force with 10 tackles and a pass breakup in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Air Force.
On May 7th 2015, Justin Currie was signed by the New York Giants as a rookie free agent. In a 2016 NFL Preseason game against the Miami Dolphins, Currie made 1 tackle assist and 1 tackle. In another preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, Justin Currie made 2 total tackles. In the Giants final tune-up against the New England Patriots on September 1st, Currie played a huge role for the defense adding 4 tackles in a 17-9 Win. He finished the preseason with 9 tackles for the Giants.
