Description
Kaleb Ramsey is a defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers. Ramsey was drafted by the 49ers in the 7th Round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The talented defensive tackle and end played college ball for the Boston College Eagles.
Ramsey was a former all-state basketball and football player from Laurel Highlands High School. He just completed a sixth year of eligibility at Boston College as an interior defensive lineman, and that sixth year was courtesy of a medical hardship after shoulder surgery and some nagging soft-tissue problems with a calf muscle and plantar fasciaittis virtually wiped out his 2011 and 2012 seasons.
The lineman started his college career at Boston College in 2008 and became a full-time starter in 2010. That was his breakout year. He led the BC defensive linemen with 39 tackles and had 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
The NFL Scouting Combine is a week-long showcase, occurring every February in Indianapolis, Indiana Lucas Oil Stadium (and formerly at the RCA Dome until 2008), where college football players perform physical and mental tests in front of NFL coaches, general managers and scouts. With increasing interest in the NFL Draft, the scouting combine has grown in scope and significance, allowing personnel directors to evaluate upcoming prospects in a standardized setting. The 2014 NFL Scouting Combine occurred from February 19–25, 2014.
At the 2014 NFL Combine, Ramsey checked in at 6 feet 3, 293 pounds, and led all defensive players with 36 bench reps of 225 pounds. Only one player at the entire combine topped Ramsey in the weight room — offensive lineman Russell Bodine of North Carolina did 42 reps.
The featured official blue and black under armour nfl combine socks were worn by Ramsey for the NFL Combine. Ramsey has signed the xl socks and added “Combine” in silver to one of the socks. There are official Combine authentic logos on each sock. Sweet!
