Korey Bosworth is a Former NFL linebacker, most recently playing for Oakland Raiders. Bosworth has also been a member of the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions. Bosworth played for his college ball for the UCLA Bruins. Bosworth is the nephew of former Oklahoma All-America linebacker Brian Bosworth.

Bosworth lettered in football at Plano (TX) West Senior High School. The linebacker totaled 219 tackles for his career with three tackles for loss, three sacks and two interceptions. He was rated No. 40 nationally among outside linebackers by rivals.com.

In 2008, Bosworth led the team with 7.5 sacks (45 yards) and accumulated 55 tackles (32 solo) while starting all 12 games for the Bruins. He tied his career-best with seven stops against USC and recovered a fumble to set up a Bruin touchdown.

Bosworth was a starter in all 13 games for the Bruins in 2009. He ranked third on the team with 14.0 tackles for loss (T-6th in Pac-10) and second on the team with five passes defensed. His defensive efforts led to him being named Co-Winner of UCLA’s Jerry Long “Heart” Award.” Against Oregon, he had seven tackles and a career-best 3.0 tackles for loss. At Oregon State, he was credited with career-best eight tackles, one sack and another stop for a loss. He also played a huge role in the UCLA Bruins Bowl Win over Temple with 6 stops, 2 tackles for a loss.

The hard-hitting linebacker appeared in all 51 games during his time at UCLA, starting every game his final two seasons. Bosworth finished his career at UCLA with 154 tackles (91 solo), 11.0 sacks (79 yards), 33.5 tackles for loss (141 yards), and a blocked punt. Bosworth is a high character guy who is hard working, relentless and plays to the whistle blows.

The game featured the UCLA Bruins and Temple Owls and was played in RFK Stadium in Washington, DC on December 29th, 2009. The Bruins won 30-21 and Akeem Ayers of UCLA was named MVP.
