Description
Michael Campbell is a free agent wide receiver most recently playing for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Campbell has also been a member of the St Louis Rams and the Ottawa Redblacks and Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. He played college football at Temple University.
Campbell attended Edison High School in New Jersey. He was named Newark Star Ledger first-team All-Middlesex and first-team All-Greater Middlesex Conference team. He recorded 39 receptions for 745 receiving yards and along with 14 Touchdowns in his senior season in high school. He was named MVP of the 2007 New York/New Jersey All-Star Classic. He was selected to participate in the 2007 New Jersey North-South All-Star Game. He selected as a member of the NJFCA Super 100 Team.
The 6 ‘1, 205 pound athletic receiver played college football at Temple where he was selected to the 2010 All-MAC third-team by Phil Steele. He was named the Temple’s 2010 Offensive MVP following his Senior season when he had 45 receptions for 724 yards and 6 touchdown. His college career totals with the Temple Owls show he caught 83 passes for 1253 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was also an Honorable Mention National Performer of the Week. (Nov. 21, 2010)
