Rusber Estrada is a catcher for Navegantes del Magallanes, a baseball team in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, based in Valencia, Carabobo. Founded in 1917, Magallanes is considered one of the most successful clubs in Venezuelan baseball. Estrada was drafted in the 24th round (712th overall) by the Atlanta Braves in 2018 and signed for $100,000. He played college baseball for the Faulkner University Eagles. Prior to that he starred at Southwest Tennessee Community College where in 56 Games played he hit .335 with 10 HR’s and 46 RBI’s. He also scored 34 Runs.

In his junior year at Faulkner, Estrada hit .313 with 7 HR, 38 RBI’s and a .911 OPS. He also won the Southern States Athletic Conference Gold Glove award for catching. The Venezuelan native is known for his defensive prowess behind the plate but also has tremendous untapped potential as a hitter. On May 16th, 2018 Estrada had 3 hits including a Home Run for Faulkner in their walk-off Win against Indiana Tech in the NAIA playoffs. With the win, the Eagles clinched a berth in the NAIA World Series. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they were edged by the Southeastern Fire in the World Series 6-4. Estrada went 1-5 in the loss for the Eagles. They finished their season 54-8.

In 2018, Estrada played in 25 games for the Danville Braves and hit .241 and collected 19 Hits and 10 RBI’s in 79 At-Bats. He was promoted to the Florida Fire Frogs where he struggled collecting only 24 Hits in 49 Games. He also added 16 RBI’s and 12 Runs Scored. In 2020 because of the pandemic, the minor league season was canceled and Estrada didn’t play. In 2021, Estrada played for the Rome Braves and hit .205 in 50 games with 7 HR’s, 21 Runs Scored and 19 RBI’s. He also added 23 Walks.

On July 17th, 2024 in a 26-2 Charleston Dirty Birds win over the Lexington Legends in Lexington, Estrada set multiple league records in one of the greatest offensive displays in league history. He finished the game with five hits in six at-bats, five runs scored, and a league-record four home runs while driving in seven runs.
