Description
Tony Logan is a free agent wide receiver and punt returner, most recently playing for the New England Patriots. The Piscataway, N.J., native played his college ball at Maryland where he was a dynamic special-teams presence, making the Terps a threat to score on every punt return. Logan was also a member of the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.
Tony Logan was one of the best players in the state of New Jersey coming out of Piscataway in 2007. A cousin (and high school teammate) of former Boise State star and current New York Jet Kyle Wilson, Logan played cornerback, quarterback, and wide receiver at Piscataway. In only five games as a senior, he posted an incredible 2,000 total yards of offense with 15 touchdowns. He was selected as an All-American by multiple publications and chose Maryland over offers from Kansas State, Mississippi State, and Virginia, among others.
Logan redshirted his first season in College Park, and due to injuries almost saw playing time at quarterback. He played sparingly on special teams as a freshman, and then became the Terp’s best punt returner over the past two seasons. After a slow start his first year on the job, he really came into his own averaging over 18 yards per punt (good for tops in the conference and third in the nation) and scoring two touchdowns.
A first-team All-ACC selection in 2010, Logan finished his Maryland career with 805 yards and two touchdowns on 68 punt returns. He also returned 17 kicks for 362 yards and caught 10 passes for 75 yards. Logan left College Park ranked third on Maryland’s list of career punt return yards and seventh in punt return average (11.84 yards). His 560 punt return yards as a redshirt junior was the second-highest total in Maryland and ACC history.
The featured black reebok cleats were game worn by Tony Logan on September 15th, 2012 as a member of the Edmonton Eskimos when they faced the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. It was the only game that Logan would play for the Eskimos. Tiger Cats quarterback Henry Burris threw for 418 yards and three touchdowns in a 51-8 win over the Eskimos at Ivor Wynne Stadium. Logan has signed the cleats and added “CFL Worn Vs Hamilton” in silver to the right cleat. The cleats show light one game use.
